Please note: All older Thai passports will be replaced with e-passports by July 2010. Current non e-passports will not be renewed or extended beyond July 2010. In addition, your current non e- passport will not be valid beyond July 2010 even if its expiration date extends beyond July 2010. Call the embassy for more details.

If you currently have a non e-passport, we suggest that you replace it with the e-passport at your first convenience or at least 6 months before expiration or July 2010, whichever comes first. You need to call the embassy or consulate (depending on your location) and make an appointment with the Passport Section to do your e-passport. Do not wait until your non e-passport expires.
